THE HUMAN BEHIND THE BRAND
SARA
BJORNSON
Strategist, trainer, speaker, and notoriously early for absolutely everything. Building marketing that feels like a handshake, not a sales pitch.

THE BACKSTORY
From Public Service
to Small Business
Sara spent twelve years in public service, including time with Canada Border Services and the Department of Defence, where she supported the Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR). That background shaped how she works now: disciplined, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
Time in the Valley started in 2019 as a rural lifestyle blog after Sara moved to the Cowichan Valley. Then she was laid off. What began as a creative outlet became a business and a way to help other community-rooted entrepreneurs make sense of marketing.
HOW SARA SHOWS UP FOR HER CLIENTS
QUIRKY,
COMMITTED,
ON-TIME.
Neuro-spicy
Speculated she's on the spectrum. She thinks differently, notices patterns others miss, and brings that lens into every strategy.
Outdoor-Driven
Hiking, running, and currently training for the High Rocks. Fresh air is part of the creative process.
Painfully Early
Quintessentially, habitually early for everything. Your meetings will start on time, probably with Sara already there.
Community-First
Built her business from a layoff during a move to a new valley. She cares deeply about the places and people businesses serve.
THE PHILOSOPHY
"Marketing should feel like a conversation with your neighbour,
not a billboard shouting at traffic."
Sara works with Millennial and Gen-X business owners who give a shit about their communities. She believes her values do the talking: integrity, consistency, and showing up for the people she serves.
